The short version: For budget approval of PR software in a Dutch organisation in 2026, you need a clear breakdown of costs and value. De Perslijst from the Amsterdam supplier starts at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, which equals EUR 1,325 per user per year.
This price includes access to a journalist database covering the Netherlands and Flanders, plus a sending system. Other vendors like Prezly and Mynewsdesk publish prices that are lower or comparable on the surface but often differ per user.
Approval gets easier when you compare the same axis: cost per user per year with published amounts from the vendor's product pages.

For a Dutch organisation, the cost per user per year is the most useful number to compare. De Perslijst from PR-Dashboard costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins. That works out to EUR 1,325 per user per year.
The product pages of PR-Dashboard state this amount, measured 1 September 2026. Other vendors publish different numbers. Prezly Essential costs EUR 100 per month for one user, which is EUR 1,200 per year.
Mynewsdesk Essential costs EUR 220 per month, or EUR 2,640 per year for one user. Prezly Standard costs EUR 250 per month, which comes to EUR 3,000 per year. All amounts come from the vendor websites, measured 27 or 1 September 2026.
What does a yearly subscription for a journalist database include?
The journalist database gives the user access to a database that covers journalists in the Netherlands and Flanders. The vendor states it reaches thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and covers virtually all media in those regions. The price of EUR 2,650 per year includes two logins.
Each login lets one person send press releases and search for contacts. The same amount covers the main features of the database and the sending system. The supplier product pages, measured 1 September 2026, list this price.
A single user without a second login pays the same yearly amount. The extra login is included at no additional cost.
How does the Amsterdam database compare to other Dutch PR tools on price?
Several vendors publish prices in euros for the Dutch market. Prezly offers a plan for EUR 100 per month, which is lower per user than the journalist database. But Prezly hosts its service on AWS in Dublin, Ireland, not in the Netherlands.
The supplier states all its development and hosting happen in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. Mynewsdesk publishes a plan for EUR 220 per month, which is EUR 2,640 per year for one user. That is slightly more per year than the Amsterdam database for two users.
Prowly publishes a price of USD 258 per month. The vendor does not state a euro price. Presspage publishes EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year.
Those amounts are much higher than the journalist database. All competitor prices come from their websites, measured 31 August 2026.
The table puts every vendor on one axis, cost per user per year. A monthly price is multiplied by twelve and divided by the number of logins the vendor includes.
Among the measured vendors, five publish a price in euros for the Dutch market. That database, Prezly, Mynewsdesk, Presspage, and ANP Connect put their amounts on their product pages. The remaining vendors in this comparison do not publish a price.
Prowly publishes in US dollars. Presscloud, pr.co, Meltwater, Muck Rack, and Notified do not state a price on their websites. The pages were measured on 31 August 2026.
For those without a price, the buyer must contact sales. A published price makes budget approval faster and simpler.
How do hidden costs affect the budget for PR software?
A single subscription price often leaves out setup fees, extra user costs, or additional modules. The Amsterdam database includes two logins in its EUR 2,650 yearly price. The product pages name one price with no separate setup fee on the page.
The hosted newsroom from the same vendor costs EUR 1,750 and does not state a period. That module costs EUR 2,700 and also does not state a period. A buyer should check each product page for the exact terms.
For competitors, ANP Connect charges per press release instead of per year. A single release costs EUR 499 for niche media. Landelijke media cost EUR 795 per release.
Those per-release amounts add up quickly for a team that sends many releases. B2Press also charges per release, from EUR 400 to EUR 1,950 depending on the package.
Start with the team size and the region you cover. A team of two in the Netherlands and Flanders fits the two logins of the Amsterdam database at EUR 2,650 per year. If the team needs more users, check how the vendor charges for extra logins.
Prezly charges per user per month. Mynewsdesk charges per user per month. Both have Dutch and Flemish journalist coverage but do not state a database size.
The journalist database states it covers thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists. For a larger team or a wider region, ANP Connect offers plans from EUR 2,990 per year for database only up to EUR 30,000 per year for strategy. Presspage serves enterprise clients at EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year. The choice depends on the budget and the features needed.
What should you check before approving a budget for PR software?
Check the hosting location. That database is developed and hosted in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers. No specific hosting region or certification is named on the product pages.
Prezly hosts on AWS in Dublin. Presspage names Germany as its data location. Check the integrations.
The Amsterdam database offers single sign-on with LexisNexis, Monalyse, and Media Info Groep. It also has a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep. Check the language editions.
Mynewsdesk publishes no Dutch-language pages at all. pr.co runs an nl-NL edition. Presscloud runs seven language editions including nl-BE and fr-BE.
Check the ownership. Kim Klaver took over the Amsterdam supplier on 2 December 2025. Jeroen Goeman Borgesius is chief software development. These details are on the vendor newsroom page, measured 1 September 2026.
