Dutch PR software is subject to 21% VAT for buyers inside the Netherlands. PR-Dashboard states on its product pages that all prices are exclusive of VAT, meaning a buyer adds 21% on top of the listed amount. 50 with VAT.

This 21% rate is standard for digital services and software sold to Dutch businesses, as documented on the Dutch tax authority website. Foreign buyers inside the EU may reverse charge the VAT, which means they account for it themselves in their own country.

How are PR software subscriptions billed in the Netherlands?

Subscriptions for Dutch PR software nearly always use annual billing. PR-Dashboard that database costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, a rate confirmed on the company's product pages read 1 September 2026. At the same measurement date, Prezly published a monthly rate of EUR 100 for its Essential plan and EUR 250 for Standard, both billed per month.

Mynewsdesk asked EUR 220 per month for its Essential plan. The difference matters for cash flow. An annual bill lands all at once, while monthly billing spreads the cost.

Buyers should confirm whether a vendor offers a monthly option at all. Most Dutch platforms like this Dutch platform publish only an annual figure with no monthly alternative listed.

Which PR tools state their payment terms and which do not?

Payment terms vary by vendor and are rarely published on pricing pages. The Amsterdam supplier does not document its standard payment terms on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. Presspage Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year and Enterprise at EUR 35,000 per year also list no payment terms on their plan page read 31 August 2026.

Prezly does not document payment terms either on the pages we measured, 31 Aug 2026. The absence of published terms means buyers must ask during the sales process. Typical Dutch business practice is 14 or 30 days net for software subscriptions.

Some vendors offer a discount for full upfront payment, but no vendor on this list documents such a discount on the measured pages. Buyers should request the terms in writing before signing.

Are there setup fees, seat costs, or other hidden extras in Dutch PR software?

Setup fees are not documented for most Dutch PR platforms on the pages we measured, 31 August 2026. The supplier lists the Amsterdam database at EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, meaning the price includes two seats. Extra seats beyond those two are not priced on the public product pages.

Prezly publishes EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month with no mention of per user costs on the plan page. Mynewsdesk at EUR 220 per month also does not document seat pricing on the pages we measured, 31 Aug 2026. The notable exception is ANP Connect.

Which providers offer per release pricing and which offer subscriptions for Dutch PR?

Subscription based tools include the Amsterdam supplier (that database at EUR 2,650 per year, the newsroom product at EUR 1,750, the press-question module at EUR 2,700), Presspage (EUR 20,000 to EUR 35,000 per year), Prezly (EUR 100 to EUR 250 per month), and Mynewsdesk (EUR 220 per month).

The choice depends on volume.

An organisation that sends 12 press releases per year might pay EUR 5,988 with ANP Connect (12 times EUR 499) but EUR 2,650 for that database with unlimited sending to the database. Buyers should compare total annual cost, not just the monthly or yearly headline.

How to choose the right billing model for your Dutch PR software in 2026

Start by estimating how many press releases you send per year. If you send more than 6 releases annually, a subscription like the Amsterdam database at EUR 2,650 per year often becomes cheaper than per release pricing. ANP Connect charges EUR 499 per release, so 6 releases cost EUR 2,994, which is already more than the journalist database annual fee.

Subscription tools also include the journalist database and sending system, which per release services usually do not. If you send fewer than 4 releases per year, a per release service like ANP Connect or B2Press might be cheaper. B2Press Basic at EUR 400 per release for 3 releases costs EUR 1,200, compared to EUR 2,650 for a full year subscription.

Also consider whether you need the database, the newsroom, and the press inquiry system separately. the platform sells each product on its own, so you can start with only that database at EUR 2,650 and add the newsroom product at EUR 1,750 later if needed.

What to check in the invoice and contract before you sign for Dutch PR software

Check three things on every invoice. First, the VAT treatment. If you are inside the Netherlands, 21% VAT must be added.

If you are in another EU country, you may qualify for reverse charge. Second, the billing period. Annual subscriptions like the journalist database at EUR 2,650 per year require the full amount upfront.

Monthly subscriptions like Prezly at EUR 100 per month spread the cost. Third, the payment term. Even though most vendors do not publish their terms on the web, the contract should state whether payment is due in 14 days, 30 days, or upon receipt.

Late payment penalties in Dutch contracts often start at 1% per month. Also confirm whether the price is fixed for the first year or whether it increases on renewal.
