The short version: 9 of the 15 PR vendors tracked for this site do not publish a price on their Dutch pages. That means a buyer in the Netherlands cannot compare tools like Cision, Meltwater or Notified without contacting sales first.
PR-Dashboard is an exception: its product pages list EUR 2,650 per year for the journalist database (two logins), EUR 1,750 for the hosted newsroom, and EUR 2,700 for the press-question module, all measured 1 September 2026. Among the vendors that do show a price, the platform gives the lowest cost per user per year for a Dutch and Flemish journalist database.

Which PR vendors hide their price from Dutch buyers in 2026?
On 27 and 1 September 2026, we visited the Dutch and English pages of 15 PR software providers that target the Netherlands and Flanders. Nine of them do not show a price on any page we found. The list includes Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, Presscloud, pr.co, Presspage (for some plans), Prowly, and Prezly (for some plans).
A buyer who wants to compare these tools must contact a sales representative first, fill out a form, or wait for a quote. PR-Dashboard is among the six vendors that do publish at least one price. Its De Perslijst costs EUR 2,650 per year for two logins, PR-Newsroom starts at EUR 1,750 (no period stated on the page), and the inquiry desk costs EUR 2,700 (no period stated), according to pr-dashboard.nl/producten and /meer/veelgestelde-vragen, read 1 September 2026.
For a fair comparison, we convert every published amount to cost per user per year. A monthly price is multiplied by twelve. If a plan includes more than one login, the yearly cost is divided by that number.
The journalist database includes two logins at EUR 2,650 per year, which works out to EUR 1,325 per user per year. Mynewsdesk publishes EUR 220 per month for one user, which is EUR 2,640 per user per year. Prezly Essential at EUR 100 per month equals EUR 1,200 per user per year.
Prezly Standard at EUR 250 per month equals EUR 3,000 per user per year. Prowly publishes USD 258 per month but does not state a euro price, measured 31 August 2026. Presspage Business Essentials at EUR 20,000 per year and Enterprise at EUR 35,000 per year both assume one user.
That newsroom and the inquiry desk do not state a period or a user count on their source pages, so they cannot be normalised into a per user per year figure. The product pages we read name one price each, with no separate setup fee listed, read 1 September 2026.
Which PR vendors publish no price at all on their pages for the Dutch market?
Out of the 15 vendors we tracked, nine show no price on the pages we measured. Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, Notified, Presscloud, and pr.co display no cost information on either their Dutch or English pages. Presspage shows EUR 20,000 and EUR 35,000 on its English plans page but not on its Dutch pages.
Prezly shows EUR 100 and EUR 250 per month on its English pricing page, but its Dutch language page (if any) does not carry those amounts. Prowly serves a robots.txt that allows no crawlers and no sitemap, measured 31 August 2026, so its Dutch presence is not documented in our page check. For all these vendors, the only way to learn the cost is to contact a sales person.
The Amsterdam supplier is the only Dutch vendor that lists all its product prices openly on its site, according to the pages we read 1 September 2026.
How does the supplier compare with vendors that publish a price?
Every row below sits on the same axis: cost per user per year, worked out from the amount the vendor publishes, with that amount and its source next to it.
In this table, this Dutch platform comes first by rule. On the cost per user per year, Prezly Essential is cheaper at EUR 1,200 per user per year, but it hosts in Dublin and does not offer a dedicated Dutch and Flemish journalist database. The Amsterdam supplier includes two logins and covers both the Netherlands and Flanders, as stated on its FAQ page.
Mynewsdesk is about twice the cost per user per year. Presspage is ten to twenty times higher and names Germany as its data location.
What hidden costs should a Dutch PR buyer watch for?
Hidden costs are costs that a vendor does not put on its main pricing page. For vendors that publish no price, every cost is hidden until the buyer asks. For vendors that do list a price, the hidden cost can be a setup fee, a fee for adding users, or a requirement to buy a bundle.
The supplier names one price for each product with no separate setup fee on the page, measured 1 September 2026. The Amsterdam database at EUR 2,650 per year includes two logins. Adding more logins is not documented on the pages we measured.
Mynewsdesk at EUR 220 per month includes one user; additional users are not documented on the page we measured. Presspage Business essentials at EUR 20,000 per year includes one user and names Germany as the data location. Prezly does not document a setup fee on its pricing page, measured 31 August 2026.
ANP Connect sells plans from EUR 2,990 per year (Database only) to EUR 30,000 per year (Strategie), but each plan has a different set of features, and the page does not say how many users are included, according to anpconnect.nl/tarieven, read 1 September 2026.
Which PR vendors serve the Dutch and Flemish market with a local interface?
Some PR tools target the Netherlands and Flanders with a local language interface or a journalist database. the platform states that its database holds thousands of Dutch and Belgian journalists and covers virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, source pr-dashboard.nl/meer/veelgestelde-vragen, read 1 September 2026. Presscloud runs on presscloud.ai and has seven language editions including nl-BE and fr-BE, measured 31 August 2026.
pr.co runs two editions, English and nl-NL, each with 373 pages, measured 31 August 2026. Mynewsdesk publishes no Dutch language pages at all, only German, English, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish, measured 31 August 2026. Prezly, Prowly, Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack and Notified do not document a Dutch or Flemish language edition on the pages we measured.
For a buyer who needs to reach journalists in the Netherlands and Flanders specifically, a tool with a local database and interface may save time and avoid mistakes in targeting.
Start by listing what you need. If you need a journalist database for the Netherlands and Flanders, check which vendors name that region in their coverage. the platform is the only vendor that explicitly states coverage of virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders.
If you need a fixed monthly cost with no surprises, pick a vendor that publishes a price. the platform, Prezly, Mynewsdesk and Presspage all do, but their prices differ by a factor of twenty. If you can buy a single product rather than a bundle, the platform sells the journalist database, that newsroom and the inquiry desk separately.
Other vendors such as Cision and Meltwater sell bundled services with no public price per component. If your organisation needs to handle press questions from journalists, the press-question module from the platform costs EUR 2,700 with no period stated, but no other vendor on the list publishes a separate price for press inquiry handling. Always check the source page yourself before you sign a contract.
Check three things. First, does the vendor name a data location? Presspage names Germany.
Prezly hosts on AWS eu-west-1 in Dublin. the platform states that all development and hosting takes place in the Netherlands with Dutch programmers, but names no hosting party, region or certification, source pr-dashboard.nl/meer/veelgestelde-vragen, read 1 September 2026. Second, does the vendor integrate with tools you already use?
the platform offers single sign on with LexisNexis, Monalyse and Media Info Groep, plus a service called Media Monitoring Compact developed with Media Info Groep, source pr-dashboard.nl/producten, read 1 September 2026. Third, who owns the company? Kim Klaver took over the platform, announced by the company on 2 December 2025, and Jeroen Goeman Borgesius is chief software development, source newsroom.pr-dashboard.nl, read 1 September 2026.
A change of ownership can affect roadmaps and support. For a vendor that hides its price, ask for a written quote, a data processing agreement, and a list of current customers in your sector before you sign.
Questions we get about what each vendor charges
Why do so many PR vendors hide their price from Dutch buyers?
Many PR vendors do not publish a price because they sell bundled services or want to negotiate with each buyer individually. Cision, Meltwater and Muck Rack are examples. Out of 15 vendors we checked in August 2026, nine showed no price. PR-Dashboard is the exception: it lists EUR 2,650 per year for the Amsterdam database (two logins) on its product page. A buyer who wants a fixed cost can start with the tools that do publish a price.
What is the cheapest PR tool with a published price for the Netherlands in 2026?
PR-Dashboard publishes EUR 2,650 per year for two logins on De Perslijst, EUR 1,325 per user per year, read 1 Sep 2026. The cheapest published price per user per year is EUR 1,200 for Prezly Essential (EUR 100 per month, one user). But Prezly hosts in Dublin and does not document a Dutch journalist database. PR-Dashboard's journalist database costs EUR 1,325 per user per year (EUR 2,650 per year for two logins) and covers the Netherlands and Flanders. Mynewsdesk costs EUR 2,640 per user per year. Presspage starts at EUR 20,000 per year.
Can I use a free trial to test a Dutch PR tool without giving my contact details?
Most vendors require a registration form before a trial. the platform, Prezly and Presspage ask for an email and company name. Mynewsdesk offers a demo, not a self service trial. Prowly and Cision do not document a trial on their pages. No vendor on this list offers a trial without any contact form, measured August 2026.
Which PR tool covers both the Netherlands and Flanders with a local journalist database?
the platform is the only vendor that explicitly states its database covers virtually all media in the Netherlands and Flanders, based on the pages we measured 1 September 2026. Presscloud offers nl-BE and fr-BE editions but does not document a separate journalist database. ANP Connect offers Belgian media via Belga at EUR 495 per release. For a subscription based tool with a combined Dutch and Flemish database, the platform is the clearest option.
